Jurie Van Vuuren, a flanker for the Utah Warriors, is from Bloemfontein, South Africa and attended Oakdale Agricultural Boys High School. After graduation, he attended the Western Province Rugby Institute, playing with the U19s in 2012, the U21s in 2013 and moved to the Senior ranks in 2014, despite being eligible to play for the U21s. He was selected to the 2013 South Africa U20s for the IRB Junior World Championship. In 2013, he played for the Stellenbosch University Maties. Jurie moved on to the Stormers in 2014 and played for them through the 2016 season. He played for Western Province from 2014-2017, the Southern Kings from 2017-2019 and the Eastern Province Elephants in 2018-2019. With the Elephants, he played in the Currie Cup and Rugby Challenge.
