A third round draft pick by Utah in 2021, Prior began playing rugby as a ninth grader in high school in Kingston, Ontario where he quickly excelled in the sport. Prior played at Trent University before being selected to the U19 and U20s Canadian rugby program in 2017 and 2018. Prior joins the Warriors after moving to Victoria, British Columbia in 2020 to play with the Canadian National Development Academy.
