Founded in 2022, the Chicago Hounds joined MLR competition a year later, representing the Windy City on the pitch. A city with deep rugby roots, Chicago plays host to the USA Eagles and many semi-professional teams, and the Hounds have quickly progressed as one of the league’s forces in the Eastern Conference. Chicago earned its first playoff berth in 2024, later capturing its first playoff win against the NOLA Gold in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Known to committed Chicago fans as “Dawg Town,” the Hounds play their home matches at SeakGeek Stadium, a 28,000-seat stadium in the nearby suburb of Bridgewater. SeatGeek Stadium holds historical significance for the Hounds, as the venue was the site of the team’s first victory – a 24-22 win over the Dallas Jackals in 2023.
