One of seven founding members of MLR, the Houston SaberCats are a storied franchise that has found recent success. Houston has made the MLR Playoffs in three consecutive seasons, including a 2022 Western Conference Final appearance and 2024 season that saw the SaberCats finish as the league’s top regular-season team.

Boasting a capacity of 4,000, Houston’s SaberCat Stadium is the first MLR-specific stadium in league history, a venue the Rocket City franchise has called home since 2019. The SaberCats trace their roots to the Houston Strikers, a local rugby club that underwent a rebrand and became a founding member of the league.
